Parang La Trek

The Parang La trek has one of the longest trekking trails among all the Himalayan treks in the country. This trek stretches for about 128 km and is accountable to be completed in 12 days which means that each day will include trekking for more than 10 km long distances. The Parang La pass is located at a ravishing height of 18,308 ft above the mean sea level in the northeastern part of the state. The crossing of the pass is also the highest point in the whole trek. The length of this trek is one of the reasons why it is considered to be so difficult for the trekkers to complete.  The trail passes through the rough terrains of the Lahaul and Spiti Valley region of Himachal Pradesh added with the challenges of high altitudes altogether. Kaza, Chandra Tal Lake, Key Monastery, Tabo Monastery, Hikkim village, Komic village, Langza village, Tabo caves, Kunzum pass and Rohtang pass are some of the many places to visit in the Spiti Valley.
